Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.Google Chrome is an open source web browser developed by Google inc.
Microsoft Internet Explorer, commonly abbreviated to IE, is a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included as part of the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems starting in 1995.
IE is my favourite i like the interface and never encountered any problems with it....i tried every browser that exists and IE is most appealing to me...
it all comes down to choice chrome has great features so does internet explorer but internet explorer is more user friendly cause you get access to all its features without being confused as to where chrome no-one but computer experts can figure out where everything is
I'm very concerned about privacy when using Chrome. Also don't like the browser at all. IE = The Internet for me.
The only people that need their internet browser to be faster are people with crappy computers and/or slow internet. I've used IE for almost a decade now, and it still works superbly. IE 8 opens in a split second and completes searches in less than a second on my machine and internet connection. Why would I change to something else? Unless I want to add Google to my repertoire of mal/spyware...I think I'll pass.
I find the options n preferences menu in Chrome completely rubbish…I mean they hardly give you any options with just the three tabs…Opera gives you 5, Firefox and IE give you 7 or 8…and its not like the Chrome developers have been working overtime to give you sleek UI’s, … just try setting up a proxy to connect to a network in Chrome and it simply switches to the IE settings menu…that’s original!
Internet Explorer 8 for Windows 7 is awesome... Fast Boot-Up, Fast, Secure and Better! Google Chrome is Evil since it is part with Google and we all know Google only wants our info... So whenever you type on Google Chrome your only sending your info to Google. It's like a Keylogger on a Browser sending right to Google! So IE, No Keylogger! Privacy is safe.
very nice new features satisify my needs : )
The best thing about Microsoft products is they try to support almost everything just like the OS does, that is what makes it better. IE supports 99% of the online applications, and the others don't, especially if it is a technology developed by Microsoft. Try using those other browsers to load a page made using .Net or .ASP. Microsoft is unbiased to technologies and supports even the ones they may not like personally. Just like IT handyan said...when it comes to Enterprise usage..IE simply just works with the least amount of hassle. Here where I work me and my IT partner are always fighting (not in a bad way) over IE vs Firefox and Windows vs Linux...bec we use both here on some level. I too have FF3 installed and I here and there use it. in my own tests I found that FF3 can be just as slow as IE once you install every sngle plugin you can. Many needed plugins aren't even avialble for Chrome or Opera and even Safari. Opera and Safari are for those who want simply web browsing. Those users compare to using WordPad vs Microsoft Word. Becauseof this it is easy to say these browsers are faster than IE. That is because it is using way less code because it isn't expected to dd what IE does..and they don't. The true comparison would be IE and FF3. I too like teh fact you can skin the browser. But that doesn't make it better. Being faster doesn't equate to better either. A Lamborghini is faster than a vette, but teh vette is going to be easier on your wallet when it is tie to fix it...so thus it is a better buy. It is nice to finally see some competition to Microsoft's products. It does give us a chance to see how good or bad they truly are. Someone asked me once, if everything in the world was good all the time...how would you know if anything was bad. Simple. It wouldn't matter because everything would be good. IE was definitely better than Netscape ever was and Netscape came with a price. if you can get a better product for free then of course it would be more appealing. Now that they all are free now there is a real war. But these other guys to me prove just have much better MS products already are, and that they also need to improve. In fact IE isn't less secure then the other browsers. Fact is because IE is used most if you want to exploit a person PC, it is better to take teh time to develop the exploitation for IE or Outlook because you have a better chance of getting it out there. Since Opera and Safari are used by 1% of the market and IE has 80% which one would you write a virus or exploitation for? I can care less about what addon a browser has if they provide no benefit outside of itself. The fact that IE works with all web media means it is overall a better choice. Sure it has flaws, but based on recent tests it has way less of them. Kudos to MS as they are working harder to get better and compatition promotes this.
lets give chrome sometime and see . from 1st day we use IE and now with 2 min u wanna change that not fair at all . lets imagine we dont have IE and we still use netscape ... so ie is good and we dont mind 2 have other browsers .. its big world ;)

I do not get it; people fall too easily for it. Chrome’s (as Google) EULA do not care about privacy; they quickly changed it in Chrome’s EULA, which was no mistake. Updates are not optional; there is no way to unselect them by choice, only through tweaking the OS. Worst is that by just clicking the “About”, Chrome automatically runs the “Update” without asking, it will even update programs that you did not ask for by just wanting a look at its Version. Why would it install or update anything I did not ask for? Changing their EULA was no mistake, simply was avoiding sues all over.
I was a FF user for some time, went away from IE, but IE8 is a real advance. And at least for me, running Vista, it is faster than FF3, renders pages better and has the useful Accelerator feature. I do like the lightness and speed of Chrome, but IT Handyman has it right about the Active X issue, and others have mentioned the add-on issue. I don't have MDS (Microsoft Derangement Syndrome) or belong to an OS cult. I bet they will all improve on their respective shortcomings, and I will use each. We all are benefiting from the browser war going on.
This comes from a guy that uses IE, Firefox and Opera daily... Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari will never be considered for mainstream businesses until there is support for ActiveX and other Microsoft specific technologies. I realize the value of industry standards but if one vendor (i.e. Microsoft) can depart from the "industry standard" and have more market share than why try to compete in such a small niche that is highly contested like what Firefox, Opera, Safari and Chrome (Read IE ~80% of the market, ~20% everyone else). The enterprise is the key to what has lead to Microsoft's market share in Internet browsers and indoctrinates the average web user to using Internet Explorer. The reason behind the enterprises choice of Internet Explorer is simple -- it is cohesive with other technologies and works seamlessly with all the other applications used in the enterprise. While IE is not the best browser from features stand point, it is the best choice in business which, in turn, makes it the best choice. This is like saying Lexus might be the best car, arguably, the best choice is probably the Toyota for the majority of people.
Chrome is very very fast, but we need some addons like in Firefox.
Won't be able to use Chrome or FF at work, and so IE8 is not looking so bad after-all :)
